The Atmosphere of Reality is a video essay; a commentary on the contemporary 3D rendering culture in the context of architecture.
This world is defined by the visualisations of it. Digital/ post production aesthetics is what sets new standards, new expectations to our perception of the physical world. Often we see the image before we see the real object. Real estate projects are being sold in a form of an computer generated 3D renders before the actual physical volumes are built.
These renders look so realistic, but often they are far away from reality. Sometimes behind these beautiful concepts and images there are a lot of unsolved and hidden issues.
What if architectural renderings become a tool emphasising reality instead of ideals?
